There’s also a minor update to the data entry pages to handle 4K displays.

CheckPoint 1.3.10 Released

This version adds a new Equipment Management tool into the system. This stand-alone tool can be used to manage equipment items and their locations.

There is also a minor update to the report data, adding shot totals into the Applied Edits table.

CheckPoint 1.3.7 Released

This version contains a couple of minor updates and fixes.

With this update, if a database is set to record individual HSE events and observation cards, and then set into multiple item data entry mode, the system will update any data already entered to have an occurrence of 1.

This update also contains a couple of minor updates to the mapping displays.

If you are updating from v1.3.6 and running the 64-bit version, you will need to backup your database and remove 1.3.6 manually before installing 1.3.7 – unfortunately this is due to an internal id change to bring the id of the 64-bit installer into line with the 32-bit installer.

CheckPoint 32-bit vs 64-bit

With the release of CheckPoint 1.3, the software is now available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Rather than have both versions in the same installer, we’ve decided to split the two versions into separate installers, so as to reduce offshore download times.

On any modern computer, you should run the 64-bit version if possible. This version will be more able to handle the occasional high memory usage required during the report data generation, especially with multiple vessel databases.

If you’re running the 32-bit version, to change to the 64-bit version

1. Backup your database (this isn’t required, but is good practice).
2. Uninstall the 32-bit version.
3. Install the 64-bit version.

If in doubt, the version type is shown in the CheckPoint About window.
